In Quechua, the indigenous language of Ecuador's highlands, SUMAQ means beauty and the spa's decor is inspired by local traditions combined with a Japanese zen style.
Treatments use indigenous shamanic rituals and ingredients from Ecuador’s Amazon Jungle, such as the rainmaker stick and essence from the endemic palo santo tree.

Set at the edge of the Galápagos National Park, Pikaia Lodge’s infinity pool overlooks the Pacific Ocean and the savannah below. Finished in Peruvian travertine marble and furnished with comfortable sun loungers, the pool deck is positioned to capture sunlight throughout the day, keeping the pool water at a naturally pleasant temperature.
